Digital Services Act
Point of contact
Relieved is operated by REBA Software (Egmond aan Zee, the Netherlands). For matters under the Digital Services Act, authorities and users can reach our single point of contact in English or Dutch:
Reporting illegal or unsafe content
If you come across illegal content or a safety concern, for example a hidden camera or an unsafe toilet, you can report it directly. In the app, open the toilet's detail page and use the report option. You can also email us at support@relievedapp.com.
We review every report promptly. Where action is required, we take it, and we provide the person who reported and, where applicable, the host affected with a statement of reasons explaining our decision. Hosts who repeatedly break the rules are suspended. Where we suspect a criminal offence involving a threat to life or safety, we inform the competent authorities.
How toilets are ranked
On the map, toilets are ranked in bands of 100 metres by distance from the centre of your map view. Within a band, toilets that are open and free to book right now come first, then the highest average rating, then the exact distance. Distance therefore decides between bands; availability and rating decide within a band. Relieved does not accept payment for a higher position, and no remuneration or capital link influences ranking.
Changes to host terms
We give business hosts at least 15 days' notice before any change to the host terms takes effect, so there is time to review the change or to stop offering the toilet.
Restriction, suspension or termination
If we restrict, suspend or terminate a host, we provide a statement of reasons on a durable medium. For a full termination, we give at least 30 days' notice, except where the law or a serious breach requires immediate action.
